Cambridge Corner Store Review

Updated: Dec 29, 2024

As 75% of our quartet got together for a wholesome mid-week sipping of long macs. Our navigational bre-vices (brew devices) had their sights set on a local for us, the iconic and comfortable Cambridge Corner Store. With delightful ivy and hanging greenery reminiscent of Eden, we sat down for a chat and scored a cafe on a numerical scale.

Vibes šŸƒ

In the heart of Floreat’s only cafĆ© district – Cambridge Street, lives a store on the corner… yes, that’s right, Cambridge Corner Store. A cute little corner/general store that really exemplifies a local/community feel. Exposed brick and plenty of greenery made the blokes feel super cosy and warm on a cool Perth winter’s morning.

Taste šŸ‘…

Long time between sips of Osborne Park’s ā€˜Leftfield Coffee Roasters’. Today we were sampling their signature ā€˜Old Fox’ blend which is a very traditional drop we have tasted many-a-times before. Notes of dark chocolate, roasted almond and caramel did the job, but nothing too special to report.

Temperature 🌔

Real hot this morning. Would’ve liked a slightly more chilled brew but it is what it is.

Glass Size šŸ“

On the plus size (8oz).

Froth šŸ„›

Honestly really captivating for the most part. Well done.

General Appearance/Consistency 🤩

Not great if we’re calling it how we see it. Wasn’t much going on.

Yesssss this was another cafe in the Western Suburbs, but to all the haters who’ve voiced their opinion of our choices of Lacs to review, The Corner Store provides great competition for a place close to our hearts, being Someday Coffee Co (our 1st ever review:)) which happens to be located across the road. They both offer great joy to locals and those who frequent the streets of Floreat. May as well hit up a double whammie. Epic job Corner Store-ers.

72.8/100 on the Brew ā€˜o’ Meter! šŸ¤–šŸ¤
