Review #108 - @2deercafe

As we questioned if we were stuck inside an artist’s sketch book like in Looney Tunes, our eyes and perspectives eventually adjusted to the unique aesthetic and artistry from this one-of-a-kind brew spot. With wall to wall, floor to ceiling two-dimensional décor and artwork, our socks were honestly blown off by the intricate details apparent in this Lathlain newbie. Hats off to 2Deer and read along for some insights…

Vibes 🍃- Talk about originality and uniqueness, how about a completely new dimension (literally) of café experience. This café in Lathlain is completely styled in 2-dimensions with an incredible level of craftsmanship and detail, you almost feel like you are in a dream. We wish there were more tables filled to add to the atmosphere… definitely something to experience at least once!

Taste 👅- Sampling a super developed, medium-dark roasted blend from Blacklist Coffee Roasters that really carried a lot of body. Certainly favours more of the traditional coffee flavours exchanging for less of those acidic/floral tones. Loyal followers of our journey would know we are favourable to more progressive and quirky profiles, but also understand there is a traditional market out there.

Temperature 🌡- Temperature was nice… also, Eagles robbed

Glass Size 📏 – We believe the glasses were 6oz which is pretty cool considering that’s our favourite size.

Froth 🥛 – The froth of the brews were all over the shop. Would’ve liked a little bit more consistency.

General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – The aesthetic of the brews were not bad. Not as cool as the aesthetic of the cafe itself which was pretty groovy.

2Deer-y me, that was an interesting experience! Such profound detail in decoration of this iconic café. A truly innovative conception brough to life by the skill of artistry. The stroke of a paintbrush can really make a difference (or even change the world!). Their brew was simple, flavoursome and frothy, but the uniqueness of 2Deer really blew us away. Brava.
