With heavy hearts, the blokes pulled up to the Shorehouse at Swanbourne beach (not the nudist one) for their final review as an og awesome foursome - see our earlier post for context. Despite the sorrows of blokey-love-lost, there were brews to review, and thus the blokes put on a stoic face for the sake of the bremmunity (brew-community).
Vibes š- Rain or shine (fair bit of the former lately š”), you canāt really go wrong with a beach vista. The Shorehouse makes the most of its incredible location with big, spacious open planning and enormous windows facing the sea. With decor akin to a (highly) gentrified beach shack, and rapid friendly service, the blokes were impressed.
Taste š - Another day, another blend by Rockingham roasters ā5 Senses Coffee. This classic āCrompton Roadā blend consisting of Brazilian/Indian/Sumatran components. Not as much flavour as we would usually expect, might be to do with the ratio that was latteāesque. Still clean and balanced, just not as exciting as weāve previously tasted,
Temperature š”- Really nice.
Glass Size š ā 8oz we believe. For us, bit big.
Froth š„ ā As nearly as dope as Hok ball. Kids could go all the way.
General Appearance/Consistency 𤩠ā A lot of talent out of Shorehouse on this fine, yet sad morning (considering Dez and Woster heading off). However, this gave us time to reminisce, and just quietly, the Perth latte art scene has improved leaps and bounds from our early days. Love to see it.
Wholesome review this one. As we bid farewell to some of our favourite sons, we thoroughly enjoyed this classical Sunday morning sipping experience. The Shorehouse provided a very nice coastal vibe, surrounded by absolute heroes with a random booze-filled bronze bathtub which, not gonna lie, was pretty darn cool. Great coffee, great food, great views. Check out this joint do an epppiiicccc time.
74.5/100 on the Brew āoā Meter! š¤š¤
