Review #128 – @prestons.deli

A pretty hyped review this week - the blokes have been hearing good things about a new spot shrouded in mystique: Preston’s Deli in Perth (6000). Whilst Preston’s claims to be a sandwich spot (and oh boy it is), it also slings some fine brews; meaning that the blokes had a score to settle in the shape of four freshly poured long macs…

Vibes 🍃- The Perth (6000) area is familiar territory for the blokes. Preston’s sits in a highly populated bratch (brew-patch) sometimes referred to by geographers as the “great southern brew belt”. Vibes here were impressive, mainly coming down to the sheer uniqueness of this spot. With each element of the interior selected with seemingly surgical precision (including even the staff uniform), the vision of this spot shines clearly. Service was excellent and swift too. Also, although this is a brew review, the sausage and egg muffin were utterly incredible (see last image)

Taste 👅- A long time between sips of Myaree roaster ‘DoubleDouble’. Sampling a medium-dark roasted ‘Peacekeeper’ blend (we think brazillian/Colombian), this coffee offered your traditional milk chocolatey and caramel base with a speck of forest berries and cherry. Slightly on the acidic side for us but still a solid sipper.

Temperature 🌡- Genuinely excellent

Glass Size 📏 – Two options for glass sizes, yippee!

Froth 🥛 – Variable, some too little, some too much

General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – Not too shabby

Well done Preston’s! The brew here certainly exceeded expectations, it tasted great and was well prepared. This location has an awesome feel that reminded us of a fish and chips shop, and the staff are super friendly. According to a couple of the blokes the food options are mint too, don’t miss out on all the fun and go give Preston’s a go for us x
