Review #140 – @blacksmithperth
- Blokes and Their Long Macs

With January flying by, the blokes persisted in their New Year’s resolutions of drinking even more brews than last year. Pushing themselves beyond their brimits (brew-limits), the blokes stopped by at Blacksmith in Highgate.
Vibes 🍃
Vibes here were definitively rustic in the best of ways. The blokes enjoyed the cushioned booths and quirky seats. A beautiful garden area out the back looked very pleasant - unfortunately, a couple of raging hangovers among the blokes restricted the seating options to indoors under the (great) aircon. Overall vibes were high nonetheless.
Taste 👅
On an absolute run of 5 Senses Coffee with another taste of Crompton Road. This predominately Brazilian/Indian composition is a super easy sipper with a medium body and notes of milk chocolate/caramel that coats your mouth nicely. The finish wasn’t as smooth as other tastings of this blend, maybe slightly overs on the extraction if we were being super picky but definitely one that the average sandgroper would really get around.
Temperature 🌡
Could’ve been a little hotter, although pretty good
Glass Size 📏
6oz ✅
Froth 🥛
Pretty good all-around ❤️
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩
The Blokes were happy with the beautiful tulips
If we’re calling a spade a spade, blacksmith was unreal. There’s no way around it. Awesome vibes, great brews and great food from what we could see. Will the blokes be back, absolutely. The only question is when, which will be soon I’m sure. Kudos X.
