Taking a break from reviewing Perth’s famous coffee chains, the blokes returned to their main quest with a sense of rejuvenation and relief. Thankfully, the general quality of a Perth cafe is far higher than that of your average coffee franchise. It was thus that the blokes joyfully trundled over to Finlay & Sons in Inglewood to sample a brew or two.
Vibes 🍃
Finlay & Sons brings a very relaxed and family-friendly neighbourhoody vibe to the long mac party. The blokes enjoyed sitting outside on what is a very pretty street corner. The decor at Finlay is nothing mind blowing, but it is rustic and home-y in all the best ways. The food looked/was unreal (to the envy of one very hungover bloke who decided not to order anything).
Taste 👅
Fresh off of having one of their Sydney branches named best coffee shop in the world, Toby’s Estate supplied the blend we tried today. A traditional flavour profile of chocolate and nuts that didn’t excite the blokes too much, however wasn’t bad.
Temperature 🌡
Very solid. Passed the mouth test for sure.
Glass Size 📏
Extremely valid.
Froth 🥛
I mean they did the job. The milk and espresso could’ve been combined slightly better.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩
Didn’t train the house down. Maybe a small apartment though
Back on the hunt for the best Lmac, the blokes made their way to Inglewood. Under the wise watch of the nearby clock tower, Finlay and Sons entered the competition and put forward a decent brew. Some great food, a nice, relaxed vibe, and a solid coffee, we were some (fortunate) sons to enjoy this spot today. Cheers, and bloke on!
76.5/100 on the Brew ‘o’ Meter! 🤖🤝
